  • Solar Power (B/C)
  • Mission Possible (B)

Q: My state tournament is very late in the year and I'm concerned about on-campus housing.  Will there be space for us?

A: We anticipate that there will be ample space for all teams to stay in one of two dormitories on campus.  Please secure your reservation as soon as you can after qualifying.

Q: How do we get from the Michigan Flyer stop (Marriot at University Place) to the residence halls?

A: To get from the Michigan Flyer stop to your MSU residence hall (Wilson Hall at 219 Wilson Road) or (Wonders Hall at 891 Birch Road), you can either walk (~1.2 miles), take a taxi or ride share (like Uber or Lyft), or take the CATA public bus (walk to the MSU Union building and take CATA bus from there to near the residence hall).

Q: What are my transportation options from Detroit Metro Airport to Campus (other than MI Flyer)?

A: Please visit the Travel to East Lansing page, under the heading Transportation from Detroit Metro Airport, for options.

Q: Do we need to submit one form for all of our purchases?  Or can we reserve our dorm rooms now and purchase banquet tickets and extra chaperone meals later once we have a final count?

A: It is preferable if you submit one form. However, it is possible to reserve your dorm rooms now, and make a separate purchase for the banquet tickets and extra chaperone meals later.

Q: Do prices include tax?  If not, what % tax is due on dorm accommodations / meals?

A: Prices include all fees; no additional fees will be charged.

Q: Can adults have single rooms in dorms?

A: Most residence hall rooms have double occupancy; however, there are a limited number of single- and triple-occupancy rooms (a single room cannot be guaranteed). Beds are single, twin XL and are lowered to trundle height. Your team will be housed together in the same dorm and same floor. Once you sign up for housing on Eventbrite, we will contact you with a housing excel form. The dorm rooms are set-up as a suite, with a bathroom between two rooms.

Q: Can adult chaperones who are not staying in the dorm purchase dining hall tickets at the door or do we need to pre-purchase tickets for them?

A: Tickets can be purchased at the door with credit or debit card (Cash is not accepted).

Q: Who is the Ice Cream Social open to?

A: The Ice Cream Social will take place during the Swap Meet, and is meant for team participants, coaches, and chaperones. It is not meant for parents and additional volunteers.

Q: Who is the Saturday Team Dinner open to?

A: The Saturday banquet dinner will take place Saturday, May 25, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Breslin Center Concourse before the awards ceremony. The dinner is for team participants, coaches, and chaperones. It is not meant for parents and additional volunteers.

Q: Can we buy tickets for the cafeteria for Saturday lunch, or will the cafeteria be closed?

A: Saturday lunch is on your own. The cafeteria near the residence hall where teams will be staying will not be open for Saturday lunch. Other cafeteria options open on Saturday for lunch include (Accepting credit or debit cards only—no cash):
